Liverpool refuse to meet Dortmund’s £100m valuation of Sancho
According to Athletic, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been a long-time admirer of Jadon Sancho and even wanted to bring him to Anfield before he joined Borussia Dortmund.
However, Liverpool consider Dortmund’s £100m valuation of Sancho and are unwilling to meet it (h/t Athletic).
Liverpool have shown in recent years that they aren’t averse to paying up if the right player is available, as shown in the case of Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk – both of whom are record signings in their positions at the time.
As far as the transfer is concerned, Klopp’s style at Liverpool suits Sancho’s gameplay. He would also have the opportunity to link up with his international colleague Trent Alexander-Arnold on the right flank.
A lot will depend on what Liverpool value him at, however, and if they can negotiate an agreeable fee.
Disciplinary Issues a Factor?
That said, Sancho has had several question marks regarding his disciplinary issues while at Dortmund. The most recent being fined €100,000 for being late for training (h/t AS).

For now, Liverpool remain interested in Sancho and Anfield would be a favourable destination for the player (h/t Express).
A player of Sancho’s abilities would be great but it remains to be seen as to whether a deal can be agreed on and for how much.
