Nottingham Forest keen on signing Sheyi Ojo
According to a report from Goal.com (h/t Nottinghamshire Live), EFL Championship outfit Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo in the ongoing transfer window.
The 23-year-old Ojo has been on the club’s books since 2011, having arrived from the MK Dons academy. He made his first-team debut for the Reds way back in January 2016, aged 18. However, he hasn’t been able to carve out a place in the starting XI, owing to the options at manager Jurgen Klopp’s disposal.
This has seen Ojo leave the club for a series of loan spells, with the Englishman having stints with Wigan Athletic, Wolves, Fulham, Stade de Reims, and most recently, Rangers.
Ojo enjoyed a fairly productive season with the Scottish giants under the tutelage of Reds’ legend Steven Gerrard. He ended the 2019/20 term with a return of five goals and seven assists from 36 matches in all competitions.
With no immediate chance of him breaking into the first-team at Anfield, Liverpool are reportedly prepared to let him leave, either permanently or on another loan spell.
And Nottingham Forest are lining up a swoop for the former England U21 international, as per the report. However, they will face competition for Ojo’s signing from fellow second division outfits Reading and Huddersfield Town. (h/t Nottinghamshire Live)

Ojo, till date, has made 13 first-team appearances for Liverpool. The 23-year-old has managed to find the back of the net once and set up four more in these appearances.
The former England youth international still has three years left on his contract. However, his time at the club may be nearing an end.
