Even when Liverpool are not playing Manchester United, a former Reds player took his chance to deny the old enemy all three points. Stoke faced Manchester United and fought hard to gain a point at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils took the lead through Anthony Martial in the second half and despite all the possession, it was Joe Allen who grabbed a point for the Potters. There were many who started comparing the Welshman to Paul Pogba.
Allen left Anfield in the summer and joined Stoke City in a £13 million and this performance certainly took the pressure off Mark Hughes. It also made a lot of Liverpool fans happy as United lost further ground on the Reds.
