Liverpool knew a 2-0 win would have sent them to the top of the Premier League. But the game against West Brom did not entirely go their way as the Baggies did score in the second half. The Reds started off on fire and raced away to a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane.
The Reds should have won by a bigger margin but great defending from Tony Pulis’s side did well to keep the damage down. Gareth McAuley did score for the away side via a corner but Liverpool ensured they picked up the three points and went to 20 points in the Premier League.
The win ensured that Liverpool are tied with Arsenal on the top of the table and it could have been a different story had West Brom done a bit better in the first half.
With Liverpool winning and Arsenal and Tottenham drawing their games, here are the best Twitter reactions.
