Jurgen Klopp does not want to talk about an extension on his Liverpool contract

According to an interview with German publication BILD (h/t Liverpool Echo), Jurgen Klopp does not want to address his future at Liverpool currently.

The German, who is set to stay with the club until 2024, admitted does not have any immediate plans for his future while he also does not have any other job in mind. Klopp talked about it in a little more detail with BILD (Liverpool Echo), saying:

“There’s no point in adding something because it’s still so long. How should I know what’s in three years? Most of them don’t even know where they will be in two or three weeks?’

The German coach also dismissed any rumours of him joining the German national team set up after Hansi Flick.

“If 2024 is over for me in Liverpool, then there will be a year’s vacation first. Hansi Flick’s contract would have to run until 2025 for it to be an option for me. Nobody has to call me in 2024. “

Klopp joined Liverpool in October 2016 after his impressive heroics with Borussia Dortmund. Although Liverpool finished 8th in the League that season, the German was building something special with the club.
