Jude Bellingham responds to Liverpool transfer rumours on Twitter
According to Liverpool Echo, Borussia Dortmund sensation, Jude Bellingham has replied to rumours linking him with a move to Liverpool.
The English international has been linked with a move to Anfield for quite some time. AHis performances in the Bundesliga have not gone unnoticed as the 18-year-old continues to go from strength to strength.
Recently, former Premier League midfielder Craig Hignett suggested that Bellingham was close to moving to Liverpool. He went on to add that the news was garnered from a ‘good authority’ source that he can’t disclose.
Amidst such speculations, Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl responded in a press conference that the English player is ‘loved’ by the fans and any move away from the Signal Iduna Park seems unlikely.
He also suggested that they would want to retain the key players that can help them win titles. While Kehl has made his stand clear, he does not curiously deny unequivocally that Bellingham could be on the move.
Bellingham too had maintained a dignified silence. Until now. He has since reacted to a social media post that claimed those close to him were aware that he was Merseyside bound.
It was just an image of him responding to the news with a smile. While the tweet has since been deleted, it adds spice to what could prove to be an enduring transfer saga.
The player’s father also has since responded to the report, claiming that the family are optimistic about Bellingham’s future in Germany. He also disputed the credibility of such allegations regarding his son.

Having already lost Jadon Sancho and with vultures circling Erling Haaland, Bellingham is Dortmund’s prized jewel. The Germans will be foolish not to do all in their power to ensure the 18-year-old stays on at the club for a while more.
Whether there is more to the story of if Anfield truly beckons remains to be seen.
