Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott is aiming for 15-20 goals next season
In a post-session chat with The Redmen TV in Bangkok as quoted by Liverpool Echo, Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott acknowledged that he is aiming to score 15 to 20 league goals in the 2022–23 campaign.
Prior to suffering a catastrophic injury at Elland Road, the young Englishman had a fantastic start to the previous season. It was especially a heartbreaking time for the teenager, who had just earned his spot in the starting lineup with some outstanding performances in the English first division.
With a new season comes an opportunity to prove himself once more, and Elliott will undoubtedly have the support of the boss who named him Liverpool’s best player in our first four games of last season.
In the interview when asked about his target for the coming season, the Reds youngster jokingly replied that he is expecting to net 15 to 20 goals as he believes it’s good to aim high.
“I would say maybe 15 or 20, but that’s just me being overconfident. You’ve got to aim high.”
One of the brightest promising possibilities for the team, the youngster has excelled when given the chance. The British player started for Jurgen Klopp this season after putting on some impressive displays while on loan last year.
The youngster may have been groomed and prepared for significant challenges by the German manager. But a terrible injury suffered against Leeds United put a wrench in the plan.
Now back to action, he will be keen to put last season’s struggles behind him. Elliott certainly has the talent to back it up and could be in for a breakout season in Red.

Sadio Mane, a star player for Liverpool, will be missed this year. The Senegalese forward was a key player for the club and his loss needs to be mitigated. Meanwhile, it also gives players like Elliott a fantastic opportunity to step up.
Although it is very difficult to match the intensity of players like Mohamed Salah and Mane, the German manager will have a promising option for his frontline whenever necessary.
