Naby Keita would be a great fit for Liverpool.

Liverpool maybe close to getting their primary transfer target, Naby Keita, as reputed writer and columnist Gabrielle Marcotti has revealed that we have an “agreement in principle” with the RB Leipzig midfielder over his personal terms.

Reports had emerged on Thursday that the club were mulling over making an offer for the 22-year old, with the Mirror claiming that we were planning to break the club-record for transfer fees once again in the summer, by submitting an offer of £70 million.

Now Marcotti, who is a columnist with ESPN and The Times, has claimed on his Twitter Page that the club have reached an agreement with Keita regarding his wages and the length of the contract. All said and done, we are still yet to reach a deal with RB Leipzig.

Marcotti also stressed on the fact that all the agreement between the player and the club will not count to anything if Leipzig refuse to let go of the midfielder.

The German outfit are in no mood to sell one of their best players from last season, as they gear up towards making their debut in the UEFA Champions League in the upcoming campaign. Keita was the star for Leipzig on their return to the Bundesliga, as he scored 8 and assisted 8 goals from 31 league games, to help them to a surprise 2nd-placed finish.

However, this development pleased the fans to no end as they took to Twitter to share their excitement about the possibility of Keita’s arrival. And here we bring to you some of the best reactions:
