Borussia Dortmund fine with letting England midfielder Jude Bellingham leave amidst Liverpool interest
England star Jude Bellingham looks set to depart Borussia Dortmund in the upcoming summer transfer window amidst interest from Liverpool.
The Bundesliga outfit are happy to part ways with the youngster, according to Sky Sports Germany via Football Daily on Twitter (h/t Liverpool Echo).
BVB are fine with letting the 19-year-old leave in 2023 as long as they are offered between £86–130 million for the midfielder. Apart from the Reds, European champions Real Madrid and English champions Manchester City are also eyeing the youngster.
Los Blancos recently signed Aurelien Tchouameni from AS Monaco. The Spanish giants are seemingly building for the future, with Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde also in their ranks. Luka Modric and Toni Kross are also still a part of Carlo Ancelotti’s setup.
On the other hand, the Sky Blues boast the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Rodri and Bernardo Silva in the middle of the park. However, they could evidently do with a bit of youthfulness in the engine room.
Bellingham has been one of the best players for England at the World Cup so far. The 19-year-old scored his first goal for the Three Lions in the 6-2 win over Iran during the group stages in Qatar.
The BVB star has started every game for Gareth Southgate at the prestigious tournament. After beating Senegal in the round of 16, England will now face France in the quarter-finals.
Liverpool’s engine room has suffered a lot of setbacks this season. Jurgen Klopp has had to deal with several injury issues in the middle of the park. The veterans in our midfield are also ageing.
