This could be bad news for Liverpool as Alberto Moreno is set to miss the crucial weekend clash against Everton. Manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that the Spaniard will miss the Merseyside derby on Sunday due to an ankle injury. (The Guardian)
The defender got a knock during the first half of the superlative 7-0 win over Spartak Moscow on Wednesday. That was the one downside of what was a wonderful midweek for the Kop faithful.
Klopp has indicated that further assessments have to be made on the defender and since it is a very rare thing, the specialists are not yet sure how long the player would be out of action.
One thing is for sure though, that the defender is out for the derby clash. This has sparked mixed reactions on Twitter, although I believe that Moreno has certainly improved this season.
This season is a very important one for the left-back considering that he has already been given a long rope. Last season, we saw his poor form leading to James Milner doing overtime on the left-hand side of the defence.
So, is the absence of Moreno a bad thing for the team? We have captured some of the tweets from the fans. Read on!

Massive improvement from him, get well soon but now let Robertson have a go!

Shame for Moreno but cover provided for these situations. Jurgen Klopp – please please please please play Andrew Robertson and give him his chance to shine. He deserves to play on past form. Did I say please? No? Ok please please please!!!
