Borussia Dortmund have set asking price for Liverpool target Jude Bellingham
According to The Telegraph (Subscription Required) [h/t Liverpool Echo], Borussia Dortmund have set an asking price of a minimum €125m for Liverpool target Jude Bellingham.
Liverpool have made Bellingham their primary target for the summer transfer window but it certainly will not be an easy task.
Paris St. Germain, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Manchester United are all ready to join Liverpool in their bid to sign the England sensation.
Bellingham certainly would have the choice from the top teams in Europe of where he wants his next destination to be.
With Dortmund initially trying to convince Bellingham to stay another year at the Signal Iduna Park, it seems that they have accepted the fate and now would be willing to let the talent leave.
However, they certainly would not budge on their asking fee and especially taking into account the money spent on Enzo Fernandez by Chelsea, they would likely demand at least the same amount or even more.
Liverpool needs a midfield revamp and Klopp has identified Bellingham as the player to be the catalyst around which the transition would be made.
But with the interest shown by almost all the top teams for the player, no UEFA Champions League football would be a big detriment in our pursuit. That is especially the case with Real Madrid lurking, who showed with Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni just how attractive a destination they remain for some of the world’s best young midfielders.
Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are also at the dusk of their playing days (even though they can still run rings around our current midfield), which would give Los Blancos the added push to capture Bellingham.
