Liverpool among the clubs interested in young PSG star El Chadaille Bitshiabu
As per French outlet le10sport (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool are among the clubs claimed to be interested in signing the young Paris-Saint Germain defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu.
The report reveals that concrete talks are yet to be had and the youngster will discuss his future with the French giants very soon.
Along with Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt and Manchester United are keeping an eye on the 17-year-old. More teams mean the player’s valuation may skyrocket due to the demand.
Bitshiabu has made 10 Ligue 1 appearances for the Parisian side and impressed quite a few people despite his very young age.
The French U19 international is a centre-back who can play as a left-back or as a defensive midfielder if required. He is an elegant left-footed player.
The PSG youth product possesses good pace to track the runs of forwards, is physically strong in duels, can pass the ball well and is good at reading the game.
At 17, there is a lot of development that needs to be good in his game. But, the signs are there that he will become one of the best defenders in years to come.
Bitshiabu’s contract with PSG expires next summer (Transfermarkt). It remains to be seen whether the French giants keep him or sell him to one of the clubs interested. Apart from signing players for the senior squad this summer, it might not be a bad idea for Liverpool to keep adding top young players to the setup.
Bitshiabu has the talent to come here and develop his game to challenge for a spot in the first team sooner rather than later. Jurgen Klopp does not hesitate in giving opportunities to young players as well.
