Liverpool will listen to offers for young playmaker Mateusz Musialowski this summer window
According to Football Insider (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool will listen to offers for young playmaker Mateusz Musialowski during the summer transfer window, who was dubbed as the ‘Polish Messi’ in the past.
The report reveals that Musialowski had recently changed his agent in preparation to move away from Liverpool sooner rather than later.
The Reds won’t stand in his way, irrespective of whether the offer comes from Poland or a team from any league across the continent. It seems that they are giving up on their hopes of the player being first-team quality someday.
The 19-year-old has been a youth player at Liverpool since August 2020. He is an attacking midfielder who can operate on either wing if required.
For various Liverpool youth sides, Musialowski made 69 appearances in all competitions, scoring 24 goals and assisting four. He played most of his games on the left wing but had a go at the other positions he likes to operate in.
Although the Reds might fancy keeping a dynamic young player, it is hard to see him getting game time for the senior team any time soon. It is better for his development that he heads out elsewhere.
Hence, the player would be right to ask for a move away to a club that can offer him first-team minutes, which would be helpful for his overall development.
While this is not the most important bit of business Liverpool would do in this summer window, it is important to collect money from the player sales and hope to use it in the right way.
The Reds are not a club that just spray money around on transfer targets. Hence, each million earned through sales can be useful in signing key players in the window. And Jurgen Klopp could do with 3-4 additions apart from the Alexis Mac Allister signing.
