Brighton & Hove Albion want Liverpool target Mohammed Kudus
Ajax winger Mohammed Kudus is of transfer interest to Brighton & Hove Albion. This could prove to be a problem for Liverpool, as the 22-year-old Ghana international is also on the transfer radar of the Reds.
However, Fabrizio Romano’s revelation via Twitter that Brighton find themselves in the race for Kudus means that the Reds will not have it easy in their pursuit of Kudus.
“Understand Mohammed Kudus is one of the top targets for Brighton this summer. He’s in the list, the interest is concrete.”
“Not an easy deal but Brighton like Kudus — no concrete talks with Chelsea. Brighton have not opened talks for Koopmeiners at this stage.”
The Athletic (Subscription Required) were among the first to note the interest of Liverpool in Kudus back in late March. The player is extremely versatile as alongside his natural position of a number 10, he can also play on either flank, through the middle and behind the striker as well.
His versatility is surely something that the Reds could totally utilise to its best use. Liverpool desperately need a midfielder, and a right winger as well. Kudus could kill two birds with one stone.
Brighton’s interest in Kudus presents a significant challenge for Liverpool. The Seagulls have established themselves as a very strong side in recent seasons, and their ambition to strengthen their squad is evident.
Liverpool, on the other hand, have a strong reputation and a successful track record under Jurgen Klopp’s leadership. However, the Reds may need to put in extra effort to convince Kudus that Anfield is the ideal destination for his continued development.
If Liverpool can secure the signing of Mohammed Kudus, it would undoubtedly be a significant coup. The young winger possesses the attributes that perfectly align with Liverpool’s attacking style of play.
His blistering pace, trickery on the ball, and ability to create scoring opportunities would complement the existing attacking talents in the squad.

Kudus’ versatility could prove invaluable to Klopp’s squad rotation and tactical flexibility. Able to play as a winger or even in a more central role, he would provide an additional attacking threat and add depth to Liverpool’s squad, especially during times when Mo, or any of the other players are either out of form or unavailable.
