Liverpool’s recent Champions League loss to Real Madrid brought about a lot of our problems to the fore – one of them being the lack of power in the midfield area. It looks like Jurgen Klopp is wasting no time to boost our forces in that department.
Liverpool’s official website confirmed that we have managed to sign a deal with Fabinho, who is equally adept at playing as a right-back and as a defensive midfielder.
Given our situation, the Brazilian is likely to act as Emre Can’s replacement at the base of the midfield and in doing so, he would perfectly complement Naby Keita, who is also expected to arrive this summer.
Indeed, this is a brilliant move by Liverpool and one that no one was possibly expecting. A report from BBC claims that the deal is estimated to be around £39m and that is a fair price to pay for a player as talented and exciting as Fabinho.
Upon hearing the news, our fellow supporters on Twitter erupted in glee and we bring you some of the best reactions:

Fabinho rejected Man Utd last season to join Liverpool this season.
Make him the highest paid player at the club.

Liverpool will now have amazing strength in depth in middle of the park. An early deal for Fabinho is a sign that they're going to seriously push on over the summer. Pretty decent value too at £40m

Liverpool are really going from a Henderson-Wijnaldum-Milner midfield to Fabinho-Keita-Fekir.
Jesus Christ.

Ndidi would have cost £50m so we fuck off to Monaco & get Fabinho for £10m less.
We are Liverpool & the Klopp train is picking up speed #LFC
