Hull City owner Acun Ilicali confirms the agreement for Liverpool youngster Fabio Carvalho
Hull City owner Acun Ilicali confirmed that they have reached an agreement concerning Liverpool youngster Fabio Carvalho. The 21-year-old returned to Liverpool after struggling to receive a significant amount of game time at RB Leipzig.
Leipzig signed Carvalho during the summer in a loan deal with the guarantee of a significant amount of game time. However, their main attackers have enjoyed a rich vein of form during the first half of the season.
The German side are currently lying in fourth position in the Bundesliga with Champions League aspiration at stake. The situation has forced them to continue playing the players in form instead of providing chances to the youngsters.
Carvalho made 15 appearances in all competitions during his time at Leipzig, most of the appearances came as a substitution. He returned to Liverpool with a plan to secure a loan deal guaranteeing him playing time.
Ilicali told Sky Sports that Hull have reached an agreement for Carvalho and the club will soon make the announcement. He said:
“We agreed on all terms with him [Fabio Carvalho]. I’m very happy to say he’s going to wear the Hull shirt. It’s almost done. The announcement has to be done, that’s all. The club will do it.”
Carvalho attracted interest from many clubs like Southampton and Wolves for his services till the end of this season. The Portugal U21 gained a reputation during his time at Fulham where he helped the London club achieve promotion.

The 21-year-old displayed his pace, skills, technical abilities and maturity while playing for Fulham, earning a Liverpool move. He made 44 appearances for Fulham, contributing with 12 goals and eight assists during his time at the club.

Hull is a fantastic club for Carvalho to earn significant amount of first-team football and prove himself. The 21-year-old is a part of the future plans at Anfield but he needs to continue building upon his immeasurable talent to be part of the Liverpool squad.
