Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Arsenal are scouting Palmeiras gem Luis Guilherme to bolster their attacking department for the next season
Liverpool are ready to battle Bayern Munich and Arsenal to sign Palmeiras attacking midfielder Luis Guilherme during the summer window. The 18-year-old has enjoyed a steep rise in his reputation after breaking into the Palmeiras senior team in April 2023.
Standing at 1.75 metres, the Brazilian has a low centre of gravity, allowing him great balance and control in duels. He has fantastic first touch and dribbling skills combined with immense pace and deceptive strength to shrug off opponents.
Guilherme has the versatility to play at any attacking position behind the main forward but prefers central or right wing. He makes calculated runs and movements to exploit the spaces between the midfield and defence, running into the opposition’s channel.
The 18-year-old has impressive technical qualities and a mature mindset, making good decisions in high-pressure situations and creating constant threats. Despite his qualities, Guilherme puts in good shifts for his team which is a requirement nowadays for a top team.
Guilherme has made 11 appearances for Palmeiras in all competitions, scoring a goal this season. The exposure to senior team experience and immense raw talent make him one of the high-coveted young players.
The Guardian ranked him among the best young players in world football who were born in 2006. Fabrizio Romano’s daily briefing reported that Liverpool are scouting Guilherme alongside Arsenal and Bayern to sign him during the summer.
The 18-year-old has a release clause of 55 million euros and recent rumours suggested that the Reds made a bid. However, Romano dismissed the rumours, stating that Liverpool is scouting the player but has not made a bid yet.
Liverpool’s form took a huge hit recently, costing them the FA Cup, the Europa League and the Premier League title. As Jurgen Klopp departs from the club, the Reds would likely go through a vigorous change under Michael Edwards.

Edwards and new sporting director Richard Hughes boast a fantastic record for making smart signings and building the team shrewdly. Guilherme fits the profile of the player who could benefit from the Liverpool move as much as the Reds would benefit by having him. However, any transfer news remains mere speculation until Liverpool confirms a true successor for Klopp.
