Journo confirms the Reds are not making a deal for European Cup winning ace
As confirmed by James Pearce, Liverpool are not making a deal for European Cup winning ace, Ederson. Yesterday, there was a ton of talk suggesting that the Reds have agreed on principle on a deal for the 24-year-old.
However, that is not the case. Contrary to popular belief the Reds have not made contact regarding a deal for the Brazilian midfielder. Ederson would surely be a good option for the team, but there are others on the list as well.
Another player that the Reds can sign in place of Ederson is Bruno Guimaraes. They’ve been constantly linked to the midfielder this week and Newcastle United’s poor financial condition could force them to cash out on the Brazilian.
Liverpool definitely needs to sign a midfielder this summer, the departure of Thiago has left a gap in the lineup and it needs to be filled. Another midfielder the team has been linked to in recent weeks is 18-year-old Assan Ouedraogo.
However, the Bundesliga 2 midfielder needs to work on his body before he’s ready for a move to the Premier League. Just this past season, Ouedraogo missed over 40 games for FC Schalke. If he can’t handle the Bundesliga 2 he surely can’t handle the intensity of the PL.
The team also needs to make improvements in defence. Tosin Adarabioyo was an attractive option since they could’ve gotten him for free. However, Chelsea beat the Reds to the punch and ended up inking a four year deal with Tosin.
