Arne Slot sheds light on his role in recruiting for Liverpool
Arne Slot sat down with Liverpoolfc.com a few hours ago and gave his first interview as the manager of Liverpool. The Dutchman touched on a lot of subjects including but not limited to succeeding Klopp at Anfield, the similarities between their playstyle and recruitment.
Slot seemed enthusiastic to be in his position and it’s clear to see that he’s looking forward to starting the season with the Reds. However, before that the team needs to get ready and some signings have to be made. Liverpool will need reinforcements in their defence, midfield, attacking line, and maybe even their goal.
It is clear to see that it’s going to be a busy summer for the Reds and Slot says the work has already begun. The Dutchman shed light on his involvement in the club’s recruitment process. Let’s have a look at what Slot had to say while speaking to Liverpool FC.
“I can say recruitment has been part of my time in the last weeks”. “Me and Richard Hughes are calling each other almost every day, we are going to work together when it comes to transfers”.
Slot has confirmed that he and the sporting director will be working closely when it comes to transfers. It is nice to see the club taking the Dutchman’s input on these matters, he might be taking on a new league, but surely Slot can identify the right people for his system.
With the transfer window approaching there is already a lot of talk about Liverpool and their interest in a number of players. From the looks of it, the club is looking at a decent bunch of options for this window. It’ll be interesting to see who Richard Hughes and Slot end up bringing in.
