Liverpool can sign long-term target Juventus attacker Federico Chiesa in a bargain deal this summer
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Juventus are prepared to sell Federico Chiesa this summer amid interest from Liverpool.
The Italy international has been linked with a move to Liverpool for a couple of years now but a move hasn’t transpired. The Reds once again expressed an interest in the player last season when they scouted him in Juventus’ 1-0 win over Atalanta in the Coppa Italia final in May.
Now, the Merseyside club have been handed a huge transfer boost with Juventus ready to sell Federico Chiesa. On his official X account, Fabrizio Romano has claimed the winger doesn’t fit into the plans of new Juventus manager Thiago Motta and that he could be available for as little as €25m in this transfer window. The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his contract at Old Lady (Transfermarkt) and the Serie A outfit have no intent to extend it.
“Juventus consider price tag around €25m with add-ons included for Federico Chiesa as current deal expires in June 2025, not being extended,” Romano tweeted.
“Juventus are prepared to sell Chiesa who’s currently not part of Thiago Motta’s plans, as confirmed yesterday.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool may have to dip in the transfer market for a new wide forward if either Mohamed Salah or Luis Diaz leaves the club this summer.
Salah has entered the final year of his contract at Anfield and talks of fresh terms are yet to take place. Moreover, he has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, and our club may consider cashing him in if an appealing offer from the Middle East is tabled. As for Diaz, the 27-year-old has been on the radar of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain for some weeks now.
Liverpool are ready to accept offers in the region of £50m for the Colombia international. If Diaz is sold, the Reds’ transfer chiefs should look to replace him with Chiesa. The Juventus star is a year younger than Diaz, and while there remain concerns over his injury record, the matter of the fact that a player of his quality and European pedigree is available for €25m should indeed appeal to the Merseyside club.

The 26-year-old is capable of playing anywhere across the front-line and would give a different dimension to Liverpool’s attack. He scored nine goals and supplied three assists in 33 Serie A appearances for an underperforming Juventus side last season, which further speaks volumes about his quality.
If Chiesa’s fitness is managed properly, Liverpool potentially spending €25m for his services would represent nothing short of a daylight robbery.
