Now, the German tactician wants to  improve Team’s overall fitness and reduce injuries which is one of the problems for the Reds in recent seasons.

Klopp is planning to work with Andrew Massey, head of medical services at Liverpool, and Ryland Morgans, who is head of fitness and conditioning, will soon be tweaking the training schedules for each player.

Klopp believes that muscular injuries, such as hamstring, thigh and calf tears, are preventable under improved, tailored supervision.

Nine first-team players, Alberto Moreno, Joe Allen, Adam Lallana, Christian Benteke, Dejan Lovren, Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho, Jordan Rossiter and Toure have now suffered muscular strains since the start of pre-season, which has hurt the Merseyside club in the bid to regain their top-four credentials.

Further, Daniel Sturridge’s knee problems have kept him on the sidelines for most of last season and the current campaign till now.

It seems it’s time to change things at the club and rather soon if Liverpool want to be serious title contenders soon.
