Inter Milan wants to sign versatile Liverpool central defender Joe Gomez for a bargain price during the summer of 2025. Gomez has struggled to find game time for the Reds so far this season under new head coach Arne Slot.

The 27-year-old is the longest-serving Liverpool player right now, having joined the club from Charlton Athletic in the 2015 summer. The England international outlasted Brendan Rodgers and legendary manager Jurgen Klopp, enjoying great success under the German boss at Liverpool.

Gomez played a pivotal role in Klopp’s last season when the club suffered from a severe injury crisis. The 27-year-old played as a left-back, right-back, centre-back and defensive midfielder for Liverpool last season, acting as a utility player.

According to the Italian publication Interlive.it, Inter want Gomez at a discount price of €22 million from Liverpool next summer. The report suggests that Gomez’s price has dropped since the summer as he struggles to find a first-team place under Slot.

Inter’s Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij are playing in the last season of their current contract and could leave. Gomez is a perfect replacement for the Italian club that lacks the financial power to buy big players.
