Real Madrid’s ongoing interest in Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold reflects their search for a successor to Dani Carvajal. Should the Englishman depart, Liverpool would face a significant setback, as TAA is a key pillar of their squad. However, according to GiveMeSport, Liverpool now has the opportunity to take the initiative in renewing his contract.

Liverpool will have the first opportunity to present a contract offer to Trent Alexander-Arnold before any other interested club, journalist Ben Jacobs has exclusively told GIVEMESPORT.

The Reds remain in pole position to discuss the future of their reliable right-back, whose current deal is set to expire in June 2025, less than 12 months from now.

Trent Alexander-Arnold Considering His Next Move

The Scouser has dedicated his entire career to Liverpool, making an impressive 355 appearances and contributing an outstanding 100 goals and assists for the club. Currently earning £180,000 per week, Alexander-Arnold remains a vital asset to the team. After Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Bournemouth last weekend, he spoke to the press but remained tight-lipped about his future at Anfield, suggesting that his personal ambitions will significantly influence his decision.

“There’s, according to sources, not going to be a scenario where before Liverpool, whenever that may be, pitch their contract offer to Alexander-Arnold, he already has decided he’s leaving and has agreed terms with someone else.”

“Liverpool will get the first chance to present their offer. Then Alexander-Arnold will judge that against any other options in the market.”

According to Football Insider, Alexander-Arnold has decided to sign a new contract at Liverpool only if the club can match his European and Domestic Dreams.

The player is eager to win more trophies and expand his medal collection but seeks guarantees from the club that they will target top-tier signings in the transfer market. The England international has enjoyed a strong season with Liverpool, securing his spot with the national team.

Five players at Real Madrid earn over £300,000 per week, which is nearly £120,000 more than Trent Alexander-Arnold’s current salary at Liverpool. If the Merseyside club were to meet his demands for both silverware and a contract increase that matches Mohamed Salah’s, it’s likely that TAA would choose to stay. Captaining his boyhood club has always been a dream for him, making Liverpool a significant part of his aspirations.
