Liverpool after enjoying a very bright start to the season are now reportedly targeting the striker who scored against Real Madrid last night.

Despite a quiet summer, Federico Chiesa was the sole addition to the squad. Giorgi Mamardashvili also joined from Valencia but remains on loan with the La Liga side. As for departures, Liverpool saw several exits, including Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara, Adrian, Bobby Clark, Sepp van den Berg, and Fabio Carvalho, all leaving on permanent deals.

Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Arsenal, are reportedly eyeing the 24-year-old Canadian international. Inter Milan are also keen on signing the striker and are currently leading the race, according to InterLive. However, they will face stiff competition from the English clubs, and it remains to be seen who will secure his signature.

The Canadian might fancy a Premier League move

Liverpool are eager to sign the player and are reportedly prepared to make a €25 million offer. It remains unclear whether the Premier League club will escalate their interest with an official bid for the Canadian international. Liverpool may also offer him a salary of approximately €5 million per season. Additionally, the report suggests that David could receive a five-year contract at Anfield.

The chance to join Liverpool will be appealing for the striker as he aims to establish himself in the Premier League and it would be a huge step up from the £27,784.88 per week . He has consistently demonstrated his quality in Ligue 1, and there’s no doubt he possesses the physicality and technical skills to succeed in England.

With Darwin Nunez struggling to find the net regularly, it’s understandable that Liverpool are exploring alternative options. Acquiring a dependable goal scorer would be a smart move for the club.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are also interested in the player, as Gabriel Jesus has struggled to score consistently. The Brazilian needs a replacement, as the Gunners cannot expect to compete for major trophies with him at the forefront of their attack but Kai Havertz has been stepping it up. To strengthen their squad, they require a more reliable goal scorer, making David an exceptional potential addition if they can finalize the deal.
