Liverpool possibly has no complaints given the season so far. The only matter that has been on the table for a while is the future of their three seasoned players. Virgil Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah the captains of Merseyside along with their vice-captain Trent Alexander Arnold have all been uncertain regarding their future at Anfield.
Many speculate the age, and wage demands of Van Dijk and Salah could be a reason for no negotiations yet. While the fullback hasn’t been offered a satisfactory contract as of now.
Dean Saunders would wish the seasoned trio to stay at Liverpool next season
Many from Merseyside would look forward to the contract extensions. The three players from the Klopp era are in the final few months of their binding and wanted by some great clubs in the world. Talking on the future and the needs of their veterans, Dean Sanders talked to the bettingexpert.com saying:
“My biggest worry for Liverpool is if they lose Trent, van Dijk and Salah,”
“They’re the best three players in the team and it’ll be difficult to replace them.”
“So they need to give them the money. Money talks. I was surprised they let Mane go. I would have offered him what he wanted. If you want to win the league you’ve got to put your hand in your pocket.”
This clearly explains Saunders’ expectations of renewing the contracts with a raise. While Salah has been speculated to be past his prime, his season so far says otherwise. Whereas the presence of Van Dijk is unquestionably a leading model for youngsters like Quansah who’re coming up the ladder.
