Liverpool have been looking at Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi as they start their search for a potential Mohamed Salah’s replacement at Anfield Stadium.
In Adeyemi, they get a winger who likes to be direct and has pace and power complemented by technical understanding and intelligence to dribble past opponents, which makes him a highly regarded target who can replace the Egyptian international for the long term given Adeyemi’s tender age of twenty-two (22).
The German prospect is said to be valued at €50 million by his current employers, which is not a hefty financial flex considering Liverpool’s spending power. However, that is not what complicates a potential transfer; Spanish giants Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Karim Adeyemi, per Spanish outlet Fichajes, as the Los Blancos look at the Red Bull Salzburg graduate as a replacement for exit-linked Rodrygo.
Liverpool face competition for Adeyemi
Alongside Madrid, the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, and Arsenal have expressed interest in landing the winger.
Adeyemi has been one of the best young players in the German top tier, and he has continued to display output contending to his ability as the young German boasts five goals and five assists (10 goal contributions) in 8 appearances in all competition in the 2024/25 campaign.
Looking at the potential he boasts, none of the aforementioned clubs would mind paying the €50 million asking price for the Adeyemi. It should come down to a better sporting project, and that is where Liverpool and Arne Slot will have to work hard to pursue his signatures.
