And as they look at talents from around Europe and beyond, the Reds have been subject to links with Sporting CP sensation Geovany Quenda, per Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, who insists that Liverpool are targeting the 17-year-old Portuguese wonderkid with Manchester City and Manchester United.
Sporting CP’s Quenda attracts interest, but will cost heftily
Quenda took no time to establish himself as an integral part of Ruben Amorim’s squad and that has aid a probable move to the Premier League as his growing confidence has got some European elites on alert.
The report also insists that the scouts from the aforementioned Premier League trio were among the audience when Sporting CP’s faced Sturm Graz in the UEFA Champions League.
That being said, the youngster has a contract with his current employers that runs till 2027 and has a £83 million release clause, making it difficult for any of his suitors to land him on a cheap deal considering his age and relatively unproven traits.
