Micky Quinn identifies one player as Liverpool’s weak link

Former footballer Micky Quinn believes Liverpool could dominate football if they replace one player in the team.

The Liverpool fan was speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show (h/t Daily Star) where he was asked if there are any issues with the current team.

Dejan Lovren”, came the reply.

“He is the weakest link. If they got a centre-back for van Dijk, then there would be world domination then onwards to the stars, galaxy and beyond!”

Quinn added that he was excited for the upcoming campaign since we have a quality team overall. The Reds have done wise business in the summer, with two midfielders coming in – Naby Keita and Fabinho.

However, all eyes would be on the man in goal as Alisson will look to keep a number of clean sheets and cut out the errors.

Quinn was quick to praise the quality of our wing-backs too and lauded our attack.

“We’ve got goals upfront, we’ve got a midfield to die for, Trent at right-back and Robertson’s been a revelation. And a goalkeeper at last!”

The sentiment shared by the Liverpool fan is certainly felt by a number of supporters as the season is just 10 days away.

Liverpool look to be well-prepared for the season ahead and even though Quinn suggested we should look to replace Lovren, Klopp seems to be happy with the Croatian.

With Croatia reaching the World Cup final, Lovren could have his best ever season for us. And should we pick up a title at the end of the season, some of the Croatian’s doubters will be silenced.
