Suarez set to miss Newcastle clash

Luis Suarez has been handed a one match ban from the Football Association following his one-fingered gesture to Fulham fans during the game at Craven Cottage on 5th December. Liverpool were also handed a £20,000 fine for 'failing to control their players' during the aftermath of Jay Spearing's sending off for his challenge on Moussa Dembele. Liverpool have admitted to the charge but have contested the monetary fine.

Suarez receives EIGHT game ban

Luis Suarez was handed an eight-game ban by the Football Association yesterday. The somewhat severe ruling was dished out following an FA investigation into claims made by Luis Suarez toward Patrice Evra during the Manchester United game in October which ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
