Liverpool confirmed Loris Karius’ departure as the German has joined Turkish giants Besiktas on a two-year loan.

The club wished the player well for his loan spell but did not speak of any permanent signing option for the Turkish giants.

Karius’ time has been littered with mistakes at Liverpool and this could provide him with a chance to reignite his career at another top club.

The report added that the player made 49 appearances for the side, helping us reach the Champions League final last season.

Loris Karius is close to completing a two-year loan switch to Turkish giants Besiktas according to the Guardian. The report claims that Liverpool have agreed to a deal with Besiktas as Karius is still considering the offer from the Turkish giants.

The Turkish club will pay £2.25m as a loan fee and also have an option to buy Karius after the first year, as per the Guardian.

Karius has been considering his future at the club since we signed Alisson from AS Roma and the report adds that the deal would become a permanent one should Besiktas qualify for Europe with the German playing a certain number of games.

Besiktas would pay £7.25m to make the deal permanent and the report adds that the Reds would receive 20% of any future fee for the German keeper.

Karius is expected to sign a one-year extension to his Liverpool deal before making the switch to keep his valuation should he return to Anfield, as per the report.

The German’s time at Anfield has been littered by a number of high profile errors and it was only a matter of time before we let go of either Simon Mignolet or Karius.

Some Liverpool fans believed the deal was right for everyone while a few weren’t sure about the deal at all.
