Fabrizio Romano delivers the latest update on the contracts of Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

Mohamed Salah has a chance of winning another trophy before the start of the season as the Egyptian was nominated alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for the 2017/18 Champions League forward of the season award.

The Egyptian scored 10 goals and 4 assists for Liverpool and helped us reach the final of the competition. Even though we could not get our hands on the title, the 25-year-old was exceptional for us last season and picked up a number of individual awards.

“Good banter game”: Some Liverpool fans go crazy as star Reds duo trolls teammate for comments during World Cup

Dejan Lovren returned to the Liverpool team for pre-season training and it seems that a couple of players will remind the defender of one of his famous bits from the World Cup.

Lovren had claimed (h/t Sky Sports) that he was one of the best defenders in the world as Croatia made the World Cup final.

While Croatia lost the final to France, Mohamed Salah was not going to let Lovren get away this easily. The Egyptian posted a video of the Croatian meeting up with the other players as Virgil van Dijk shouts “The best defender in the world!”

Lovren reached the final of the World Cup and the Champions League but he fell at both the hurdles. The Croatian will expect to do better this season with the Reds but a number of fans shared their reactions to the return of the player to Melwood.

“The king” – Mo Salah posts an interesting picture on Twitter and some fans go crazy

Mohamed Salah made a fantastic return for Liverpool in pre-season as he scored in the 2-1 win over Manchester City a few days ago.

The Egyptian was easily our best player last season and he seems to be continuing his great form as we prepare for the upcoming campaign.

The International Champions Cup tour was an important test for many players as we faced tough opposition such as Manchester City, Manchester United (*cough cough*) and Borussia Dortmund. However, there was still time for some sightseeing as Salah posted a picture of his mural at Times Square.

The Egyptian has become a world star since his move to Anfield. It should come as no surprise that many expect him to go even better than the 32 goals he scored in the Premier League last time out.

Many fans from across the world posted their response to the picture shared by Salah and here are a selection of the best reactions from Twitter.

“Legend Already” – Some Liverpool fans in awe after new signing’s incredible bicycle goal vs Man United

Liverpool seem to be in great form ahead of the season as the Reds thrashed Manchester United 4-1 in the final game of the International Champions Cup.

The Reds did start with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the first half but the star of the show turned out to be Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Swiss star was playing his first game for us and he was excellent throughout. The scoring started, whoever, when Mohamed Salah won a penalty for us and Sadio Mane put the ball into the net in the 28th minute.

The lead did not last long as Andreas Pereira struck home a wonderful free-kick but the real damage was done in the second half.

Shaqiri held off a challenge from a United defender and laid off the ball on the edge of the box for Daniel Sturridge to stroke it into the net, off the post.

Two quickly became three when we won another penalty, thanks to Andy Robertson. Sheyi Ojo, surprisingly, took the penalty and scored to make it 3-1 for us.

The goal of the game came in the 82nd minute as Liverpool completely dominated United throughout the fixture. The ball was looped back into the United penalty box and up stepped Shaqiri to smash home an incredible bicycle kick.

A goal and an assist on his first start for the Reds, Shaqiri was incredible and even though this was just a pre-season match, the Liverpool fans were ecstatic with the result and even more with new star, Xherdan Shaqiri.

Here are some of the reactions from the fans as they went berserk on Twitter.
