“Not good enough”, ” Not my captain” – Some Liverpool fans are unhappy with latest contract extension

Jordan Henderson became the latest player to pen a new long-term contract with Liverpool. Our captain signed for the club seven years ago and was happy to remain at Anfield for the foreseeable future.

The midfielder was speaking to Liverpoolfc.com and said:

“I’m very happy to have signed a new contract for a long period of time. I’m absolutely delighted.”

The Englishman added that he has enjoyed his time at the club and wants to stay here for as long as possible.

“There is no other place in the world I would rather play football. I want to be here for as long as I can be.

“I’m so privileged to have been a part of this club for so long, and hopefully even longer now.”

The captain started in our 2-1 win over Leicester City and has helped Liverpool maintain their 100% winning start to the season.

Club football would be on a break due to the international fixtures but a few Liverpool fans weren’t all that impressed with the extension for the captain.

Some of them questioned his ability while a few wanted another star to extend his stay at Anfield.
