“Unreal”, “Superb” – Some Liverpool fans go crazy after new signing’s stunning performance vs West Ham

Naby Keita could be offered a new Liverpool contract.

Liverpool laid down a marker to the other Premier League sides as they hammered West Ham 4-0 at Anfield. The Reds had their front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the starting XI, while new boys Alisson and Naby Keita got their Premier League debuts.

West Ham too had a number of new faces such as Jack Wilshere and Felipe Anderson but the scoring started early after Andy Robertson whipped in a low cross for Salah to tuck into the net in the 19th minute.

Salah’s partner, Mane, made it two just before half-time as a cross was saved by Milner. The Senegal international slotted the ball into an empty net.

The second half saw more from Liverpool as Mane got the third. He was in an offside position but the goal stood.

Daniel Sturridge then scored within 20 seconds of coming on as a sub and this was Liverpool’s 500th win in the Premier League era.

While our attack was brilliant, it was Keita who was spectacular with his passing and running. The RB Leipzig man was responsible for creating the first goal, thanks to a smart run and pass to Robertson.

And the midfielder certainly caught the attention of a number of Liverpool fans and here are some of the reactions from the Liverpool fans.

“Legend Already” – Some Liverpool fans in awe after new signing’s incredible bicycle goal vs Man United

Liverpool seem to be in great form ahead of the season as the Reds thrashed Manchester United 4-1 in the final game of the International Champions Cup.

The Reds did start with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the first half but the star of the show turned out to be Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Swiss star was playing his first game for us and he was excellent throughout. The scoring started, whoever, when Mohamed Salah won a penalty for us and Sadio Mane put the ball into the net in the 28th minute.

The lead did not last long as Andreas Pereira struck home a wonderful free-kick but the real damage was done in the second half.

Shaqiri held off a challenge from a United defender and laid off the ball on the edge of the box for Daniel Sturridge to stroke it into the net, off the post.

Two quickly became three when we won another penalty, thanks to Andy Robertson. Sheyi Ojo, surprisingly, took the penalty and scored to make it 3-1 for us.

The goal of the game came in the 82nd minute as Liverpool completely dominated United throughout the fixture. The ball was looped back into the United penalty box and up stepped Shaqiri to smash home an incredible bicycle kick.

A goal and an assist on his first start for the Reds, Shaqiri was incredible and even though this was just a pre-season match, the Liverpool fans were ecstatic with the result and even more with new star, Xherdan Shaqiri.

Here are some of the reactions from the fans as they went berserk on Twitter.

“Mo is the best player in the world” – Some Liverpool fans go wild after Salah and Mane defeat Man City

Liverpool got back to winning ways in the International Champions Cup as the Reds defeated Manchester City 2-1.

While we had lost the last match at the hands of Borussia Dortmund, this should have been a straightforward win as City were mostly fielding youngsters, though they did play Riyad Mahrez.

In the end, it was Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane who got the goals for us but City opened the scoring via Leroy Sane.

The young guns were the better team until we brought on Salah and the Egyptian took only 70 seconds to score a header after a great cross from Rafael Camacho in the 63rd minute.

Salah was the chief tormentor and it looked like he was back to his best as he hit the bar and even had a header deflected wide.

The match seemed to be heading for a draw as Mane missed a couple of decent chances but late on in the game, Dominic Solanke was pushed inside the box when trying to reach a Salah chip.

The referee pointed to the spot and Mane made no mistake as the Reds came out on top in the 93rd minute.

While the performance in the first half wasn’t great, Salah and Mane changed the complexion of the game. The duo seems to be in great form and the Liverpool fans were quick to recognise that as they enjoyed our fourth consecutive victory over City.
