The Liverpool Echo claims English youngster Sheyi Ojo is a target for Stade de Reims on a loan deal. There is no agreement between the sides but Liverpool are in talks with the Ligue 1 side over a move for the 21-year-old, as per the report.
The report adds that Ojo attracted a lot of interest from Championship sides Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion. Ojo looked likely to join the Villans in the summer, according to the report, but a deal could not be completed.
Reims gained promotion to the French top-flight this season and believe the 21-year-old is a perfect fit for their attacking requirement (h/t Liverpool Echo). The report further adds that the player’s representatives have held discussions with the club about spending the season in the Ligue 1.
Ojo does need to play regularly to develop further. Moving to the Ligue 1 would certainly be a step in the right direction and Reims could offer him greater playing opportunities than some of the other clubs in the country.
The 21-year-old is not the only player that the Reds are looking to offload before the closure of the transfer window on Friday.

Lazar Markovic and Pedro Chirivella are two players that could leave Anfield, according to the report. However, it remains to be seen if a deal can be completed for Divock Origi, who was linked (h/t Liverpool Echo) with a move to Borussia Dortmund.
