Sadio Mane is concentrating on his Liverpool career as contract talks are being looked after by another party.
The Senegalese star has a contract till 2021, according to the Liverpool Echo. The Reds started talks with the 26-year-old at the end of last season, but the attacker hasn’t signed a new deal yet.
Mane, however, wasn’t worried about his deal yet and told the Liverpool Echo:
“I am more focused on the games, things like contracts I leave with my agent.
“I am happy and concentrating on giving my best for my team-mates, my manager and the fans.”
Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah have already agreed new deals at the club. Mane is one of the best attackers in the Premier League and extending his stay at Anfield should be one of the priorities for the Liverpool management.
Even though the Senegalese star hasn’t looked as great as he did last season, the attacker has seven goals from 13 games for Liverpool in all competitions.
The forward saw an effort ruled offside in the 1-1 draw against Arsenal and he would be raring to go against Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday.
Liverpool have to get the three points against the Serbian team to bolster their chances of qualifying for the next stage.
Mane could be the chief destroyer of the home side on Tuesday, and hopefully, we will have the three points in the bag.
