Trent Alexander-Arnold to face Raheem Sterling in ePL Invitational semi-finals
According to Sky Sports, Trent Alexander-Arnold will play Raheem Sterling in the ePL Invitational semi-finals. The semifinalists were confirmed for Saturday’s finals day, live on Sky Sports.
The event provides a unique opportunity to see Premier League players put their FIFA 20 gaming skills on the line against one another.
The tie between Trent and Sterling is the matchup of the day with Diogo Jota taking on Dwight McNeil in the other.
The Liverpool defender survived an early scare in the quarterfinals as he fell behind to Christian Atsu’s well-worked counter-attack.
He recovered from that shock and went on to annihilate his opponent 4-1 to book a date with former Liverpool star Sterling.
The City winger will have his work cut out against Trent who looks as comfortable on the controls as he does while crossing a ball. The Merseysider controlled the play well and limited Atsu to half-chances.
Trent is a daft hand at FIFA. He recently took part in the FIFA Stay and Play cup, organized by EA Sports where he decimated Vinicius Junior with a 4-1 thrashing.
Perhaps aware of the threat at hand, Sterling has already resorted to trash talk. He has already faced off against Trent for the national team and is aware of what to expect (h/t Sky Sports).
He also revealed that he is yet to beat Trent but fancies his chances this time around. Sterling qualified for the semis by beating Andre Gomes 4-2 (h/t Sky Sports).

Sterling will have to be at the top of his game to stop Trent. The City star has struggled to make a mark against us on the pitch. Let’s hope his ineffectiveness also transcends to the virtual sphere.
Be it virtual or real, this looks to be Liverpool’s year and a local lad is central to both.
