“Don’t waste money”, “We will be unstoppable” – Some Liverpool fans divided as Reds edge closer to signing World Cup star

Domagoj Vida

Domagoj Vida’s move to Liverpool seems a step closer as reports from A Spor claim that the Reds have agreed on a deal for the 29-year-old defender.

The report suggests that we would end up paying £22million for the World Cup finalist, though James Pearce had stated that the deal is off for the defender.

Liverpool have already signed four players this summer but we could do with some help at the back given that Joel Matip did pick up a slight tear during pre-season.

Vida does have a lot of experience at the back and he will be in top form after his performance in the World Cup. The Croatian could partner Dejan Lovren and provide us with some cover.

The confusion regarding Vida’s deal is something that the fans are also having to deal with and here are some of the best reactions from Twitter, to the possibility of Vida joining us.
