Wales boss Gary Speed dies, aged 42

It’s reported on Sky News that Wales manager and former Leeds, Everton and Newcastle midfielder Gary Speed was found dead at his home early this morning, aged just 42.

Details are still sparce at the moment but the cause of death is believed to be suicide. This will come as a shock to most if not all fans as Speed was held in high regard by many a supporter of many a club.

Former Liverpool, and now Manchester United attacker Michael Owen tweeted “Just cannot believe the news regarding Gary Speed. We waved at each other a couple of days ago dropping our kids off at school”.

Condolences from The Kop Times go to Gary Speed’s family and relatives.
