Liverpool vs Leicester must be the most exciting match on boxing day. A Liverpool side under Jurgen Klopp is always fun to watch while Leicester have surprised every premier league followers by leading the premier league table. December was supposed to be easy for Liverpool, but it has not gone well for Klopp and his men. Leicester, on the other hand, was expected to fall in December as they had tough fixtures, but it looks like they don’t want to fall down. Last week against Watford, none of the Liverpool players contributed to their team, but they should step up this week if they need a boxing day triumph. Leicester is the only side from the top five leagues that has scored in each and every league match. Klopp should find a way to solidify Liverpool’s defense. Here are the three key player battles that could decide the game:
- Dejan Lovren Vs. Jamie Vardy
Jamie Vardy is the man of the moment. Every football fan is full of respect for Vardy for his hard work and determination. But Liverpool will have to keep away the respect for Vardy on Saturday. Vardy is one of Leicester’s key players and the Liverpool defense will have to keep him at bay. Vardy plays as left centre forward for Leicester that means he will be battling against Dejan Lovren who is expected to play as the right centre-back for Liverpool in the absence of Martin Skrtel. Lovren did not feature for Liverpool last week due to an injury, but this week when he returns he will have to face a huge test against Jamie Vardy. Dejan Lovren will have to be on top of his game to do the almost impossible task of keeping away Vardy from scoring.
