When Gary Neville took up the job at Valencia as their manager, many pundits thought it was too early for the prominent English defender. He barely had any experience in coaching and to handle a club like Valencia was probably a little out of his league at the moment.

Fast forward few weeks and the situation is as expected by many. After the 7-0 loss to Barcelona, it is very likely that Gary Neville will not be at Valencia till the end of the season. And the most likely name to replace him? None other than Rafa Benitez, a Liverpool fan favorite.

According to AS, Bentiez and Garcia Pitarch, the sporting director of Valencia, are already in the talks for the Spaniard to take over the team. They have worked together during Bentiez’s time at Valencia and the club wishes that the same success will be brought by Rafa again. AS reports that it will be a surprise if Gary Neville manages to survive the sack.
