When the two giants of English football play, the world notices. Liverpool vs Manchester United at Anfield tomorrow will be the 195th competitive Clash between the two sides. This is the first time that the two sides will lock horns for European supremacy, albeit in its less popular version, i.e, Europa League.

Liverpool are currently enjoying a good run of form and are unbeaten in their last three league outings. So the mood in the camp must be upbeat. While the visitors lost their last match and need to be at their best if they want a result at Anfield.

The good thing for United is that LVG has a fine record against Liverpool and is unbeaten in his two-year tenure against the rivals. Although, the Dutch boss has come under the wrath of the fans, He has a knack of picking up points from the big teams.

Team News:

Jurgen Klopp has only one absentee for the clash against the old foes. Lucas Leiva is sidelined for at least a month, Joe Gomez and Danny Ings, are the long-term absentees. Otherwise, the German is spoilt for choice.

This can’t be said for Van Gaal’s men. Wayne Rooney is still out along with Ashley Young, Bastian Schweinsteiger. Luke Shaw and Antonio Valencia are the long-term absentees. Phil Jones and Marouane Fellaini have returned to training. Jesse Lingard is suspended for the game.

Players to watch out for:

Memphis Depay is United’s best player in Europe with three goals. His performance against FC Midtjylland was his best in his short Man Utd career.

Firmino

Roberto Firmino is scoring goals for fun in 2016. He has 8 goals and 7 assists in his time in England so far and United’s defense have to be on their toes if they want to keep the Brazilian star at bay.
