One of the biggest transfers of the summer transfer window could be Mario Gotze, and most likely Liverpool will be in that. The Reds are interested in the player and the familiarity of Jurgen Klopp and Gotze from their Borussia Dortmund days only makes matter easier.
Now LiverpoolEcho has reported that in an interview to ZDF TV, the German star has revealed that he is texting Klopp regularly. He was the main man at Dortmund and after moving to Bayern Munich he has found it difficult to cement a place in the team. The player who scored the winning goal for Germany against Argentina at the World Cup 2014 is definitely not happy playing bit part role in the team and wants more first team football.
Carlo Ancelotti will be taking over the team in the summer and while it is not known if Gotze will get a regular spot under the Italian, Klopp is pretty much sure to give the German a chance in Liverpool first team. No wonder the texting!
“We are texting now and again. He was my coach at Borussia Dortmund, but there is nothing special.” said Gotze to ZDF TV.
