Strongest Liverpool Line Up To Face Watford – Allen And Benteke To Start

Liverpool had a fantastic victory against Villarreal and are now up against Watford at Anfield. It is pretty evident that Jurgen Klopp will juggle between two sides now. The side with key players will be selected for the important fixture against Chelsea and the Europa league final and the secondary side against Watford and away to West Bromwich Albion. Considering that, here is a look at the predicted line-up for the game.

Goalkeeper: Ward

Although Liverpool conceded three goals, Danny Ward had a decent game at Swansea and made some fine saves. He should be starting this one.

Defence:  Randall, Lucas, Skrtel, Flanagan

Klopp will be looking to rest his key men for the big game against Chelsea and will change the entire back four from the game against Villarreal. Randall should start on the right back as he deserves a chance to play for the team. Lucas has been instrumental at the center back position and he should start alongside Skrtel. Lovren and Toure need to be fit for the game and hence should be rested. Skrtel should try and capitalize on this opportunity and make the most of it. Flanagan should start as the left back as some game time will surely boost his confidence.

Midfield: Stewart, Allen, Brannagan

In the game against Villarreal, Liverpool’s midfield was very active with a high work-rate. Klopp should start with Stewart on the right, Allen in the center and Brannagan on the left side of midfield. Can and Milner should be rested for this game as their services will be badly needed ahead. Stewart was impressive in his first game. He did not click that well in the next one, but can prove his abilities in this one. Allen should be the leader in the midfield and should be at the center of everything. Klopp should also give a chance to Brannagan on the right. Chirivella had a bad game at Swansea and Brannagan should get the nod ahead of him in the midfield.

Attack: Ojo, Benteke, Ibe

Sheyi Ojo was very impressive against Stoke and he should be starting this one on the right flank. His pace and skills can be a threat to Watford and he can create chances from the side. Jordan Ibe should be starting this one on the left flank. He has earned his opportunity through decent displays recently. Christian Benteke should be the striker for the Reds. His towering presence can help in winning the crucial headers and even in creating chances on goal.
