Liverpool is set to complete the transfer of goalkeeper Loris Karius with the player having arrived at Liverpool to undergo medical. The club is expected to complete the move and make an official statement in the next two days.

There were some confusions regarding the transfer fee with several sources speculating that the fee could be in the range of £6 to £8 million, but both the parties seem to have agreed upon a price of £4.7 million for the young goalkeeper. The deal is a bargain considering that the player is one of the youngest and hottest prospects in Germany.

He has managed 10 clean sheets and with a save average of 2.1 per goal, he is a considerable improvement over Simon Mignolet at 1.27 saves per goal. The purpose of bringing in Karius is to give competition to Mignolet who has been nothing short of inconsistent this season. Klopp is set to oversee an overhaul of the club in order to become serious contenders next season.
