Liverpool has been linked with a move for Charlie Taylor from Leeds United as the player enters the final year of his contract.
According to TeamTalk, the Reds have held discussion with the player who has impressed in the Championship last season. He has also been voted Leeds’ player of the year. However, he has only one season left in his contract and Leeds United is said to be interested to sell him instead of losing him for free next summer. Enter Liverpool!
Jurgen Klopp is looking for a left-back after Alberto Moreno failed to impress the German manager and his future is in doubt next season. As Klopp scouts the market for a competent left-back, Taylor has been identified as one of the targets. However the player is also reported to have spoken with Stoke City about a possible move. Beating Stoke to Taylor’s signature should not be a major issue for Liverpool as long as Klopp is convinced that he is the man to be at the left-back.
