German international Emre Can has impressed the Liverpool manager and the fans last season with a string of impressive performances and is set to begin his contract talks with the club.
According to a report from Mirror football, the player will get an improved deal on his existing contract that will secure his Liverpool future. The player has two years left on his contract, but after the season he had last year, Liverpool are not taking any chances and wants to tie him down to Anfield as soon as possible.
Can, 22, is currently with the Germany squad for Euro 2016 and has not yet commented on the news. However, both the parties are hoping that a smooth contract discussion can take place and the process be complete quickly.
Few players are set to leave Anfield in the summer and looks like Emre Can is not going to be leaving anytime soon considering that the Reds are going to give him higher wage.
