Transfer Tips For Liverpool: Possible Ins And Outs Featuring A Serie A Goal Machine

It is safe to say that the Merseyside clubs Liverpool are in a state of transition. Their new manager Jürgen Klopp has completely transformed the club, and to be perfectly honest, the players can now challenge for the titles. But it is obvious that the side will have to buy some fresh legs to reach the prime, and I’m pretty sure that the manager is working on it with full dedication.

Klopp revived the team and made them one of the strongest competitors in the league in no time, just 5 months in charge, the manager took the team to the Europa League final.

With no Champions League football, the manager can now concentrate in the league and would surely serve as an advantage. But the most important thing for the manager would be dealing with the transfers. It is clear that Liverpool squad is studded with midfielders and there is no room for more players, and if Klopp still wants to buy the names, he will have to offload some of the stars from the squad.

So, here we give you 2 names, who Liverpool should sell and 2 names, who Liverpool should buy:

Outs-

  1. Mario Balotelli-

The 25-year-old Italian was bought by Brendan Rodger and was supposed to fill the void of Luis Suarez. But the Italian failed in a spectacular fashion at Anfield and was heavily criticized for his off the field activities too. His first Premier League goal for Liverpool came on his 13th appearance and that clearly explained his desire to play the sport.

He was then loaned out to his former club AC Milan, where he scored just 3 goals in the entire season. He would be returning back to Anfield, but Klopp would prefer to sell him and buy someone with better attitude to suit the needs of the club.

  1. Lucas Leiva-
Lucas

Many Liverpool supporters would surely think that selling Lucas would be a foolish choice, but to be honest, Liverpool need better players in that position in order to challenge for the top honors. The 29-year-old Brazilian made 27 appearances for the side last season and was ineffective in front of the goal.

Being a defensive midfielder, it is expected that the player would be tough as a rock, but he won just 47% of his duels and stats doesn’t lie. Liverpool will be bringing a few famous names in the side and that would automatically cut the playing time of the Brazilian.

Ins:

  1. Gonzalo Higuain-

Everyone saw that coming isn’t it? The 28-year-old Argentine was a machine last season and Liverpool do need a striker, who could help the side to achieve their target. Higuain is a reported target for the Reds and the deal would only benefit the side to a great extent.

In his 35 appearances in Serie A, he scored 36 goals and created 51 chances. Benteke’s future as a Liverpool man is in doubts and looking at Sturridge’s recent injury forms,  Liverpool will surely be looking to buy a top striker, and Higuain would definitely fit the bill of Jurgen Klopp.

  1. Mateo Kovacic-

The struggling Croatian plays for the Spanish giants Real Madrid and it is reported that he might consider a move away from Santiago Bernabeu in order to get a regular playing time. The former Inter Milan man is a central midfielder and could operate the game from almost every central area.

Most of the players from Liverpool’s squad suffer from injuries or inconsistency and to overcome the situation, Kovacic would be the perfect transfer for the squad. Liverpool are currently chasing the Croatian midfielder, and the club should seriously consider this transfer.
