Liverpool Transfer News: Club Officially Announced The Arrival, Four Players Arrived At Anfield

The summer transfer window is officially open today and while the rumor mills are on an overall high with their, here are some news (or rumors) from the Anfield.

Liverpool have already signed four players into the squad so far and from today onwards the four are officially the Reds. Joel Matip has arrived at the Anfield, while Marko Gurijic, Sadio Mane and Loris Karius are now ready to head to the Anfield and start their careers at the Merseyside. Matip will take part in the start of pre-season training with his new teammates at Melwood on Saturday, when Jürgen Klopp’s side begin preparations for the 2016-17 campaign.

Mario Balotelli is back at Liverpool for pre-season training, thus the Reds have failed to secure a move for the Italian player. While the Reds are keen on selling the player, no move for the player has materialized neither from Turkey nor from China.

Further, Lazar Markovic is back at the Anfield and is desperate to impress manager Jurgen Klopp during the pre-season training. The player has had to struggle last few seasons and is now willing to take a chance at the Reds.

Klopp admitted earlier this year that Markovic will get his chance.

“We had a little talk about things. I said at the start of pre-season you will be very welcome and then it’s up to you,” he said.

“That is how it is in football. It’s a long pre-season and if he wants to come back to Liverpool in July he’s welcome.

“We are short on wingers. Everybody who is involved in pre-season can have a part to play next season.”

Luis Alberto is another one who will be hoping to impress Jurgen Klopp in pre-season.

The young Spaniard has impressed the Reds boss in his loan at Deportivo – and the Reds are happy to keep him in the squad if their £4.6m asking price is not met.
