Kolo Toure has been released from the Anfield and so has Martin Skrtel who joined Fenerbahce. Further Liverpool defenders Joe Gomez and Mamadou Sakho have both injured an Achilles injury, thus the duo may end up missing the start of the season, while Joel Matip seems to have sustained an ankle injury during the match against Wigan, but Klopp has stated that it is not too serious.
The Reds have reportedly completed the signing of Estonian international Ragnar Klavan from Augsburg. The player will be heading to the Anfield in a deal worth £4.2m. Klavan played both legs of the Europa League clash against Liverpool last season, and has made more than 100 appearances for Estonia.
Further the Reds are reportedly keen on signing Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle. After having failed to sign Piotr Zielinski and having let go of Jordan Ibe the German manager seems to have turned his attention to the Dutch midfielder. Liverpool are offering £15 million, Newcastle want £27 million, but Chris Bascombe of The Telegraph reports that the club are confident they can seal the deal for £20 million in the coming days.
