Liverpool striker Christian Benteke is set to leave the Anfield this summer and reports suggest that the Reds are ready to let the player go albeit at a right price.
Last few months saw Atletico Madrid and West Ham United keen on signing the player to their respective squads and reports from the Daily Mail suggest that the Reds rejected a bid of £25m from Crystal Palace earlier this summer. Benteke is keen on leaving the club so as to restart his stalled career, but Liverpool are adamant to let go of the player in any amount less than £30m, and low and behold Palace are not coming back with an offer of £30m for the player.
Leaving the Anfield will be the best decision for the player and vice versa as both the Belgian player and the club can benefit from the move, the player does not fit into manager Jurgen Klopp’s plans and neither does it make any sense for the Reds keeping the player in the squad paying him the salary of £140k a week to not play and just sit on a bench.
